The offer you can't refuse: the best engagement photos of 2016
From the incredibly romantic to the ridiculous and surreal, the photos of these couples take the genre of engagement photography to a new level. Wonderful shots are part of the Best Engagement Photo Contest 2016, selected by the wedding publication Junebug Weddings.
Every year, the company selects 50 unique photos that capture the pure emotions of this special moment. This year, thousands of applications from all over the world have been sent to the competition, which has been held for four years. Kerry Crooks, CEO and editor-in-chief of Junebug Weddings, says: "A good engagement photo should be individual. How much are the couple in love, how comfortable are they, do they feel a connection with each other and with the photographer?" Winning the competition is one of the most prestigious awards for wedding photographers and often a ticket up the career ladder.
