Claudine Dori's photos, which are included in the album about the legendary Artek camp, go beyond everything that was once published about this place. They caused a flurry of discussions, emotions and even a scandal, but this is a true story about Artek's life, about growing up and youthful metamorphoses.

The Frenchwoman Claudine Doury, a representative of the VU photo agency, once chose two main topics for her reports - the study of changes taking place in Eastern European countries and the metamorphosis of the youthful period of life.

In 2004, Claudine's book "Artek — summer in the Crimea" was published in Paris, which contains photographs taken by a Frenchwoman from 1994 to 2003. Perhaps this series is almost the only collection of photos about Artek's real life. There are no boring staged photos, dry and formal. All of Claudine's pictures are a true story about Artek's life, about growing up and subtle experiences.

Some photos of Claudine caused absolute delight, others subjected them to crushing criticism. As one counselor said: "It's just awful! She has children in clothes lying on bedspreads on beds! Moreover, they also play cards"… And five years after the release of the album, it so happened that he appeared in the scandalous case of the corruption of children by the camp administration, passing as evidence. Ukrainian psychologists reproached Dori for taking a series of photos for "adults prone to pedophilia."
