The Children's Hospital dressed up premature newborns in superheroes and arranged a photo shoot
More than 30 newborns in perinatal intensive care in Kansas celebrated Halloween in a special way. They were dressed up in handmade costumes, and three volunteer photographers, who also had premature babies, made them a photo shoot for memory.

"Families can spend weeks or even months in perinatal intensive care, and it can be a very emotional time," said Jennifer Hamblin Robinson, an employee of the charity. "Being able to celebrate Halloween with their kids gives them a sense of normality and a chance to celebrate their child's first days in this world, which is what any family wants."
Photographer Helen Ransom says that photo shoots with premature newborns are one of her favorite options for volunteer work in the field of photography. The happy eyes of the parents of these kids in such a difficult time is the best reward, according to the photographer.
The hospital and charity organization presented parents with postcards with footprints of their children, crocheted pumpkins filled with sweets, and a book about Halloween for family reading.
