August 13, 1899 Alfred Hitchcock is born — the man who became the legendary Director. His films are firmly entrenched in the classics of world cinema and the Hitchcock's ability to involve the viewer in the film is deservedly called a master of suspense.
To create an atmosphere of suspense on screen, Hitchcock used a special techniques: close-UPS, fractional editing, the playing with time compression and stretching it, paid much attention to music. The most important is the ability of the Director to feel the suspense. That Hitchcock was not to occupy.
