The amazing story of a tiny baby who survived no matter what
Molly Perrin was born 6 months old, 13 weeks prematurely. Even before the baby was born, a placental pathology was diagnosed, and doctors told her inconsolable parents-34-year-old Stephanie and 38 — year-old James-that their daughter would most likely not live even three weeks after giving birth.
At birth, Molly weighed only 470 g-like a bag of cereals, and she was immediately placed in the intensive care unit for babies. The newborn girl was so small and fragile that her hand easily fit into Dad's wedding ring. But, despite everything, Molly proved that she is ready to fight for her life. And three weeks after the birth, the happy parents were able to take her in their arms for the first time.
In this photo, the father holds Molly for the first time, and here she is already 25 days old. But she is still so weak and tiny that her hand will easily fit into his wedding ring.
And Molly has been here for 17 weeks now, and her happy parents are finally preparing to take her home.
Molly was diagnosed with "intrauterine development delay", which is why she was not gaining weight. She was born prematurely, but was able to survive and now weighs 2.5 kg.
The doctors said that she would not live more than three weeks.
In this photo, she is already 17 weeks old, and she is gradually gaining weight. Very soon, her parents will be able to take her home.
