The polar polar bear has broken all size records and has become almost one and a half times larger than its relatives. The animal has already been dubbed the world's largest bear: the giant weighs almost 200 kilograms more than any other bear.

They say the camera adds a couple of extra pounds. This bear must have been filmed by several cameras at once. The overweight inhabitant of Alaska was nicknamed "Fat Albert". The weight of the polar bear is 679 kg, while its relatives weigh 450 kg on average.

Residents of Kaktovik, Alaska, fed the bear themselves. Without breaking the centuries-old tradition, the Aleuts give whale oil to bears as a sign of respect.

It seems Albert doesn't have to starve or hunt on his own.

Professional photographer Edward Boudreau, who took pictures of "Fat Albert", said:

If people fail to get a whale, then bears will have to wait until the sea freezes to start hunting seals. Despite its impressive size, "Fat Albert" is not a record holder. So, back in 1960, the largest polar bear weighed 1001 kg.
