St. Petersburg and other cities of Florida in 1929 in color photos

Categories: History |

When I think about Florida in 1929, images from the film “Only Girls in Jazz” immediately pop up in my mind, the heroes of which were transported by train from frost-bound Chicago to the subtropical paradise of Miami in a day. The film was in black and white, but now you can see in color how people were relaxing in the "state health resort" on the eve of the Great Depression and shortly after it began. Autochrome shots by Clifton R. Adams, the one who captured England in 1928 in color.
