Sensual oil paintings by Thomas Saliot
French artist Thomas Saliot creates wonderful oil paintings using the original bokeh technique. Most often, his canvases depict modern girls. They relax, play, sunbathe or indulge in reflection. Saliot's works are based on photographs that the author himself takes during his travels around the world. But sometimes Thomas takes ordinary stock photos and turns them into a painting. (Warning! Nudity).
Thomas Saliot was born in France in 1968. He says that he felt a passion for drawing very early, at the age of 4. As a child, Saliot already knew that he would devote his life to painting. After school, he studied for three years at the Parisian Institute of Art and Architecture of Penningen.
While still a student, Saliot began participating in exhibitions and became famous in Parisian creative circles. He drew inspiration from the paintings of great masters, in front of whom he could stand for hours in the Louvre and other museums. The artist's first works were imitations of famous artists. But over time, Saliot developed his own unique style, which made him famous throughout the world.
The artist believes that modesty adorns a man of art. That's why Thomas Saliot doesn't like to talk about himself. It is known that he constantly moves between two countries - Morocco and France. Despite the fact that the master’s paintings have always been in demand, he is not ashamed to exhibit them in open-air street galleries, next to paintings by unknown painters.
Saliot considers his work to be pop art. He loves bright colors and dramatic images, but at the same time avoids unnecessary details. Some of his paintings look provocative, but they are an imprint of our time and this must be accepted.
Do you also think the paintings of Thomas Saliot are daring? You definitely need to get acquainted with the work of another French master of pop art - Gerard Schlosser.
