Real zombie victims

Idiot box, or “zomboyaschik” in Russian, is a pejorative term to describe a TV due to its intoxicating effect on the viewer. Children are especially often affected by the device, who can watch cartoons and entertainment programs for hours on end, instead of spending time outdoors, communicating with peers or studying.

Australian-born photographer Donna Stevens, who currently resides in New York, created a series of Idiot Box images of children intoxicated by television.
