British actress Emilia Clarke, the star of "Game of Thrones", suffered a stroke. Now, for the first time, she showed photos taken during recovery from a serious illness.
The actress said that she experienced two brain hemorrhages during filming. Most patients, about two-thirds, do not survive after this.
The actress clarified that she had a skull trepanation, after which she was in intensive care — twice a month. Moreover, doctors could not guarantee that the girl's brain functions would fully recover. Emilia was then in despair, because she thought that she would never be able to act again. Fortunately, everything went well, and continuing to work in the series became the best medicine.
Now Emilia has founded a charity organization SameYou — to support those who have suffered traumatic brain injuries.
