Field of Schneggenburger Mary was always fascinated with the human sleep. "It's unconscious, and scientists still do not understand what happens," says the photographer. Early in his career, he took pictures of people sleeping wherever they saw on Park benches, in trains, at parties.
In 2010 he came up with the idea to take pictures of sleeping with a six-hour exposure. First he filmed himself, then couples, families and all who managed to persuade to come to his Studio in Vienna. Intimate and surreal photographs from this series are made on black sheets in the barely lit room.
"Dream lovers" is an ongoing series of photographs. Schneggenburger invites all interested parties to participate in the project.
