Nicolas Cage told why memes with his own participation upset him
It's hard to count the number of memes that fans (and detractors) have dedicated to Hollywood actor Nicolas Cage. Every day funny pictures with his participation amuse millions of people all over the planet, but Cage himself is bored. The actor admitted that he was very dissatisfied with the current situation and explained why he was overplaying so much, thereby causing the audience a reason for ridicule.
A source: IndieWireNicolas Cage began his creative activity back in 1981 and throughout his life he played in several dozen films known to any viewer. The roles in the films "Without a Face", "Treasure of the Nation", "Ghost Rider" brought him the greatest popularity, but still those films in which the actor played, to put it mildly, are not very popular with the general public… At least, that's what most Cage fans decided.
The last film with Cage's participation is the horror thriller "Mandy", on which director Panos Kosmatos and Aaron Stewart–Ahn worked together. Journalists and critics who attended the premiere of the film called it successful, or even "Cage's best work in recent times."
After watching the trailer for the action movie, the audience said that Nicolas Cage finally got the role in which he can fully vent his madness and it will look appropriate. However, humor was still needed and new memes with the actor's participation began to "walk" on the Internet.
Nicolas Cage in his recent interview with IndieWire expressed his dissatisfaction about this:
Cage also said that he himself is very dissatisfied with his own memification.
Nicolas Cage, contrary to the popular opinion of fans, said that he does not overplay in films at all, but only experiments with images and tests his acting skills. Moreover, the actor prefers to play in those tapes where he gets not quite adequate characters.
Cage assures that he specifically sought such an effect on the screen, and not just played poorly. According to the actor, his excessive activity in some scenes is not a script error or an unsuccessful improvisation, but part of a well–thought-out plan.
Let's hope that Cage's words about his acting work will be taken seriously by fans and finally stop pestering him with their memes, some of which you can see below.
