Microcosm of Baikal
In this issue you will find a large selection of macro photographs of Rostislav Mashin, taken during several trips to Lake Baikal over several years.
Black ant-Treecreeper
Filly
Ribbed ragiy
On the landing! Barbel flower
Barbel beetle and bandaged wax beetle
The abscess beetle
Krestovik (?) *who can tell you what kind of spider it is?
Bull horsefly
The wolf spider from Olkhon. Beautiful and kind) A loner, lives in burrows, does not weave a web for catching prey – at night he gets out of the hole and goes hunting.
A separate photo shoot for a pond snail
And a few lepidoptera, day and night
Hawthorn and dwarf lily
Golubyanki
The Green Moth
Poplar hawk moth, on take-off
Unpaired silkworm
And a little more…
Breakfast for two – black ant and abscess beetle
Spider on a rhododendron flower after the rain
... There is life everywhere – and on a steep cliff above Lake Baikal
...and since we are talking about plants – a blooming rhododendron, after the rain
and "the last snowdrops" - an open Lumbago, aka Dream-grass, in fact, belongs to the buttercup family, but it is often called simply "snowdrop" by the people, because of the early flowering, in April-May. It was a great luck to meet a blooming lumbago in June.
"Hello!". The Barbel Beetle
"Date". The draughtsman and the abscess beetle
Krestovik in ambush
Spider-sidewalker, aka spider-crab
Skakunchik, a spider with a height of slightly more than 2 mm. Very curious, mobile, jumps suddenly and at a distance ten times the length of the body.
Another horse, female, 3 mm at the withers
"Water". Dragonfly larvae are common inhabitants of forest reservoirs: ponds, lakes and swamps. Predators live and guard their prey on the bottom and stems of aquatic plants.
A couple of bokoplavs
Korean (in my opinion) ant lion on a branch of wormwood
Well, and finally – - a small forest sketch
Thank you for watching!)
