Looked like Tokyo and its inhabitants in the late 1970s
Canadian photographer Greg Girard arrived in Tokyo in the 1970s, and instantly fell in love with the city. He found a part-time job as an English teacher and decided to stay in Tokyo long enough to have the opportunity to explore it with my camera. Pictures for a long time remained unknown, until he was collected in an album called Tokyo-Yokosuka 1976-1983.
Greg lived in Tokyo for about three years in the late 70's and often visited the Hong Kong and Shanghai in the 80s, 90s and 2000s years. He now lives in Canada, but still arrive in Tokyo 2-3 times a year. "I would come more often if I could," says the photographer.
