Life after Microsoft: the photographer who took screensaver for Windows desktop showed a Wallpaper of the new generation

The famous photo was taken in 1996. O rier went to a friend's when I saw the incredible beauty of the landscape in California Grenache SONOMA County. He stopped, got out of the car and began to establish a medium-format Mamiya RZ67 camera on a tripod, giving it film Fujifilm Velvia.
In fact, the hill was covered with vineyards, but in the early ' 90s the land was infected by phylloxera grape, and for several years was removed.
