The other day, Leonardo DiCaprio, who is actively involved in various environmental programs, got it. Brazilian President Jair Bolsonaro accused the star of setting fire to the Amazon forests.
Of course, the star itself does not rush around with a torch through the jungle, setting fires. On the contrary, Leo allocates money to save unique tropical forests from his not at all skinny pocket. This was the reason for the accusation, which was expressed by the head of Brazil in the presence of journalists and officials.

DiCaprio indignantly denied involvement in the organizers of the arson attacks, and NGO officials and human rights activists said that the mess with arsonists in the state of Para is harassment of environmentalists for political reasons.
On Thursday, the Brazilian leader once again returned to the issue of arsonists and this time blamed the disaster on the World Wildlife Fund. Jair Bolsonaro said that the organization specifically pays volunteer firefighters for arson and photos of fires, so that funding continues, and his popularity among the people is falling.
DiCaprio countered the latest accusations, saying that he had never allocated a single cent directly to organizations that are so worried about the Brazilian leader. In addition, the actor said that today, when the very existence of unique ecosystems is in question, he is proud that he joined the ranks of conservationists and provides them with all possible assistance.
