These photos show incredible figures and patterns made by 30 thousand kung fu students at the Shaolin Monastery in the Chinese province of Henan. The XI International Wushu Festival in Shaolin was held from October 16 to 20 in the cradle of this martial art. Thousands of people from all over the world demonstrate their skills in the pictures.

The program of the event includes group gymnastics and martial arts. In a single impulse, fans of this ancient martial art, gathered from 60 countries of the world, line up in the Chinese flag, create bizarre living figures and promote wushu in every possible way.
The festival has been held since 1991. Shaolin wushu, which is also called Shaolin kung fu, is a martial art that is about one and a half thousand years old: the first mention of it dates back to 495 AD. It originated in the Shaolin Buddhist Monastery in Henan Province.
