Andrey Repnikov's painting, made in a romantic and humorous genre, resembles either Soyuzpechati postcards, or frames from old cartoons. Especially his albums "Fabulously Beautiful" and "Kolbaskin and Company"take him back to his childhood.
Andrey Repnikov was born on June 28, 1963. Lives in Moscow. Painting has been his main occupation since 1990. Since then, the author has painted over 5,000 paintings. His works participate in exhibitions, add to private collections, and are kept in the Ivan Bunin Museum.
The work of the Russian artist is full of good humor, familiar characters and scenes. Repnikov's repertoire also includes natural landscapes, sea scenes, city streets, monasteries and people. Special national recognition was awarded to his series of paintings "Kolbaskin and company" and "Fabulously Beautiful". Their characters are sincere and good-natured, with all their appearance they "tell" us their funny stories, from which simple subjects of paintings are formed.
