Kai Fung stoned: what secrets did the Buddhist monk's cell hide
At the age of 29, the Buddhist monk Kai Fung has achieved considerable success. He became the abbot of the Chongfo Temple on the island of Taiwan and enjoyed great authority in spiritual circles. That is why a video with a young ascetic, accidentally discovered online by one of the parishioners of the temple, shocked the faithful and aroused the interest of the police. However, as it turned out, the police got involved for a reason — Kai Fung turned out to be another fruit.
In the video, which appeared in the public domain, Abbot Chongfo was reclining on a bed with a man, and they were not engaged in discussing the bodhisattva path at all. Despite the fact that Buddhism treats human weaknesses quite loyally, such behavior of a high-ranking clergyman could not but alert. Since complaints had already been received about the abbot of the temple, the police decided to visit the temple and see how Kai Fung lives.
In his spare time from gay parties, the rector of the temple told young people about the norms of morality and the fight against vices
Conducting a search of the abbot's cell, the police were shocked by how versatile a person her master turned out to be. 19 grams of methamphetamine, devices for smoking it, stimulants, anal relaxants and lubricants, as well as a whole collection of magazines for men of non-traditional orientation were found in the room.
The monk's computer also told a lot of interesting things about its owner. There were more than 200 GB of gay porn on the hard drives of the device, and in some videos the abbot of the temple himself was filmed. The most shocking thing for everyone was that Kai Fung chose a completely inappropriate place for his specific pleasures — the video, in most cases, was recorded directly in the monk's cell, located at a Buddhist temple.
Against this background, the meat dishes forbidden to the monks, found in Fung's refrigerator, looked like a petty prank, which was not worth mentioning. With all their desire, the police will not be able to charge the man with anything other than possession and, possibly, distribution of drugs, but, according to the laws of Taiwan, even this is enough to put the abbot of Chongfo behind bars for many years.
It was particularly unpleasant that the monk held the post of general secretary of the Association of Young Buddhists and was supposed to be an example for everyone. In addition, Kai Fung was in good standing with his superiors and was considered an excellent preacher. The priest could rally people around him, and many believed that the Chongfo Temple would sooner or later become the birthplace of a new spiritual school.
Entrance to the Chongfo Temple
Kai Fung joined the monks at the age of 14, becoming a disciple of Monk Chihai, who was a true legend of modern Buddhism. But after the death of the teacher, grace did not pass to his best student, and the young monk went downhill, starting to use drugs and spend time with homosexuals.
Interestingly, the monk's spiritual mentors knew about his problems — Kai Fung has a serious disciplinary penalty on his account. As it turned out, the young man was caught "hot" and for organizing sex parties with followers was sent from the Tongshan Temple to the periphery, to the lesser-known Chongfo. But, as it turned out, the monk, who was greedy for men and banned substances, did not take advantage of the chance that he was given to improve himself and took up his old ways.
The abbot of the Chongfo Temple is a very colorful type
At the Chongfo Temple, Kai Fung finally lost his conscience and shame and rallied monks and parishioners with similar interests around him. Orgies in the walls of the temple were held almost openly, and the abbot was the main "star" at them. At the very first interrogations, the monk confessed both to addiction to drugs and to making gay porn, but after a while he refused the second point. The monk began to claim that the video was thrown to him by detractors who had long been envious of his spiritual successes.

During the investigation, it turned out that Kai Fung was not lying — the video with his participation was actually posted on hard drives by his former lover, with whom the monk broke up with a scandal and a fight. The abbot, despite his carelessness, is still not so stupid as to keep serious compromising material in the most visible place. Now a Buddhist priest is waiting for a whole string of troubles, of which the deprivation of dignity for immoral behavior is far from the most terrible.
