It's even a pity to cut: pop culture in pies
Today, food is photographed so much that it simply has to look appetizing or unusual. Especially when it comes to baking. But how in general can you cut such an amazing pie if Thor, a Stranger, Nikola Tesla or Dean from Supernatural is looking at you from it?
Pastry chef Jessica Leigh Clark-Bojin is sure that art objects can be made from simple pastries. Drawing inspiration from pop culture, this artist creates portraits of famous characters, people or scenes from films on the crisp crust of pies.
Jessica started making unusual pastries in 2016, calling her project "Pies are awesome" (Pies are awesome). Since then, she has been expanding the boundaries of what is possible, combining the love of sweets and everything else. According to the artist, her mission is to show the world that pies can not only compete with creative wedding cakes and fancy desserts from around the world, but also be fun and easy to prepare.
