Talented urban photographer from the Netherlands Jeroen van Damme this year was included in the shortlist of Sony World Photography Awards.
Present his portfolio includes images taken around the world from London to Hong Kong. You'll see a ruined bunker during the Second world war, an abandoned power plant, where the film "blade Runner 2049", apartment house, which became a place of filming of "the hunger games", and more.
"I'm not one of those photographers that love to shoot only beautiful, romantic and popular tourist spots. I'm more interested in the fact that at first glance seem to be ordinary or unattractive. And if you take a picture this place differently, people will see how wrong they were!
Sometimes I get comments from people who live in the neighborhood off my location, but never realized what was hidden right under their noses. I am very happy when because of my work people are starting to take a closer look around and appreciate the city in which they live," says Jeroen van Damme.
