In this barbershop, children get a haircut for free if they read books aloud during the haircut
One of the hairdressers (also called by the fashionable word "barbershop") in the city of Ypsilanti (Michigan, USA) is notable for the fact that not only hair is cut in it. It also "cuts" prices: children are served for free if they agree to read books aloud during the process.

"Parents really like this promotion, and children ... hmm, these cunning people are happy that the saved few dollars eventually fall to them," said Ryan Griffin.
"We constantly receive good feedback from teachers," the barber added. But the idea is not just to encourage reading.
"If one day one of these children comes to our barbershop, already being a college student, and says: "Guys, I once read aloud here, and your action inspired me to become a journalist" - that would be very cool. We will assume that our ultimate goal has been achieved," Ryan Griffin shared.
