In Canada, the house of the founder of PornHub burned down due to arson
In Montreal, Canada, the unfinished mansion of the Syrian Feras Antun (Feras Antun), the founder of the porn site PornHub, burned to the ground. Police believe the fire was the result of arson. According to one version, it could have been committed by far-right activists.
The Canadian mansion of Feras Antun, the owner of the Internet resource Pornhub, burned down on the night of April 25-26 under suspicious circumstances.
According to the Montreal police, at 23:30 local time, law enforcement officers received a call from the porn mogul's house, located in the prestigious suburb of Auncic-Cartieville. The police were told that two unknown persons had entered the Antun estate, but when they arrived at the scene, the mansion was already on fire.
Feras, 45, bought two plots of land for $ 1.8 million four years ago from Montreal's Bois de Saraguay Nature Reserve on the outskirts of the city. In December 2020, the mansion was almost completed and it was put up for sale for $ 15.9 million.
Feras Antun decided to sell the house after a video with underage girls was found on a porn resource, which caused the millionaire to have financial problems.
During the fire, the fire reached such a force that 80 firefighters were pulled together to fight it, and special services had to evacuate several neighboring houses. Within three hours, the fire was extinguished. There were no casualties.
The Antun estate was not completed, but the fire caused great material damage. The mansion was estimated at $ 19.8 million.
It is believed that the arson could have been committed by far-right activists. Recently, several posts with threats against the owner of Pornhub appeared in the local social network. The Association of Porn Industry Workers called the incident "a crusade of clerics against porn."
