Huge traffic jam in the Belgian forest

Categories: Auto | Europe |

More than 500 retro cars are rusting in the forest near the Belgian village of Chatillon. According to local legend, all these cars once belonged to American soldiers who, returning home to the United States after World War II, could not take them with them. Therefore, it was decided to park them in the forest for a while. Arriving in America, the military faced bureaucratic obstacles, high customs payments and high cost of car delivery. Therefore, not a single car has ever crossed the ocean. In total, there were four such cemeteries in the vicinity of Chatillon, only one has survived to our time.
