How our colleague lived on proper nutrition for two days and did not starve to death

Proper nutrition ("PP", as it is customary to say among the working people) is not news to me. About three months before this little experiment, I participated in a program like "frenzied drying" — I carried containers with me for a month, and after a couple of days I was terribly tired of washing them and trying not to forget at work. However, then, on a seemingly dietary diet, I ate better and more often than in normal life. So I didn't come to this very "PP" from the street — there is something to compare and tell.

Delivery

On the eve of the two-day experiment, a GooD FooD Academy food kit was brought home to me. In the craft package there was a diet for two days — five dishes for each day. Under each dish, the number of calories and the weight of the portion were painted — hallelujah! So that you understand when you yourself start eating right, counting the calories of each dish and weighing portions take a little less time than cooking. And time is money! In the same peculiar menu there is a sequence of dishes. I must say, the instruction is good. It's almost always a job in my head — it's too much to keep the schedule of my "lunches" there.

I am a fragile girl, in ordinary life I eat very little, and therefore even the standard menu for 1200 kcal seemed huge to me. According to the schedule, they were supposed to eat five servings a day (five, my God!). Two full-fledged dishes with chicken and fish, soup, salad and a hearty breakfast.

The cats immediately occupied the rustling craft package. That's how great — the food was brought to me, and the cats are happy.

There should be porridge for breakfast!

I like sleeping more than eating. Therefore, there is almost always not enough time for a quiet homemade breakfast: tea, a sandwich, and forward to the embrasure. On the first day of the experiment, I had to speak at a conference and almost spend the night in the office. Porridge from the menu of the first day was what you need — hearty, nutritious. I had enough strength to hold the attention of an audience of 140 people.

I didn't think of it, so I want to warn you — when ordering, mention that you need appliances. In the loft where the conference was held, there were disposable ones — so I didn't have to eat porridge with my finger. While the people were gathering, the rest of the speakers were preparing, eating croissants and something with sausage, I made myself a full hot breakfast.

On the second day of the experiment, I somehow managed to have breakfast at home. There was a curd casserole with cherries on the menu, and this breakfast took exactly the same amount of time as my usual sandwiches with tea. I threw the casserole in the microwave (you can do it in the same container in which the food is brought), ate, sent the container to the trash. It seems that I even spent more energy on sandwiches.

I messed up the menu, but I was always full anyway

In the package with the GooD FooD Academy ration, they put a "parting letter": they wish strength, good luck and give short recommendations on how to properly use the brought ration. The main advice is that 2 to 4 hours should pass between meals.

There have always been problems with time. Both days with lunch we somehow did not work out. He was constantly postponed because of work. Therefore, the lunch meal miraculously shifted closer to dinner all the time. On the first day we just returned from a very difficult meeting (you know, there are such). There was a lot of talk, ideas were presented, they actively waved their hands and arranged a whole end of the world. Tired, in general, very tired.

In the same welcome letter it is said that the schedule of meals is compiled not just like that, but according to the canons of the methodology of proper nutrition. At first, there are always more satisfying and carbohydrate—rich dishes, by the evening the diet is "facilitated" - more vegetables, fish and poultry meat. At the same time, the nutritionists of the GooD FooD Academy allow me to swap dishes, which I shamelessly took advantage of. In a completely uneaten time, I "persuaded" Caesar salad. God, how wonderful it was! However, the croutons confused me a little — at first I thought it was black bread, it turned out that it was all about oatmeal.

On the second day, she again hooliganely swapped chicken with vegetables for dinner and pilaf, which was supposed to be eaten at lunch. Don't get me wrong, in the middle of the day I really wanted meat and vegetables. Therefore, during the lunch break, both evening dishes were used — the same chicken and Greek salad. Needless to say, there was simply no room in me for a proper afternoon snack in the form of yogurt with dried fruits after two hours?

The right pilaf

The second day was chaotic. Again, I had to eat lunch at the completely wrong time. No matter how hard I tried to get home early, to my husband and the cats, nothing came of it. Therefore, dinner had to be met here, in the office. As soon as I took out the container and headed towards the kitchen, I was grabbed by white hands and "ordered to rest." Literally in my arms, together with pilaf, I was lowered down to the bar, which is located next to the office.

I wanted beer terribly. But I didn't break down! Courageously looked at the clinking colleagues and ate her legitimate dinner. Of course, the pilaf from the proper nutrition menu (I called it "the right pilaf" to myself) does not look like the Uzbek we are familiar with. When cooking, less vegetable oil is used and less spices are added that irritate the digestive system — the taste is slightly different, but it does not get worse.

Eating right is convenient (it turns out!)

What I would like to note right away is that living according to the GooD FooD Academy nutrition system is really convenient. From the moment the courier rings your doorbell to the second you finish the last portion of dinner. Containers with a light heart can be thrown out immediately after eating, they do not need to be washed and dragged home.

During these two days, I have never felt hungry. You know, such a wild, sucking desire to eat at least something when you realize that you can't get up from the computer for the fourth hour. It used to happen, but not once in these two days.

GooD FooD Academy makes up your daily diet based on the body's energy needs — each menu is balanced and allows you not to think about the usefulness of what you eat — you immediately know that your diet for the day will be correct. This saves you from several problems: you don't waste time cooking, you don't spend half a day "packing" lunches and stop worrying about your own digestive system, because it has already been taken care of.

My menu option was, it seems, superdietic. Therefore, I, a lover of fried salted potatoes, mom's olivier and custard cakes, was always missing some spices or salt. Although it is worth noting that among the dishes of the service there are also potatoes in a rustic way, only not fried, but cooked in a much more useful way. And everything that is not salted, you can add salt. And besides my option, GooD FooD has about ten different menus for every taste — including premium menus and a menu made up of seafood dishes. I am sure that among such a variety, everyone will be able to find something of their own.
