Honey, I shrunk the beer: American miniature makes an exact copy of bars
It is difficult to find a field of human activity which were not affected by the simulation. Craftsmen produce not only copies of cars and sailboats, but also models of entire countries. American artist from Santa Barbara Michael long (Michael E. Long) modest — he does not pitch on his workbench metropolis and the fortress, and limited to bars, cafes and pubs.
Michael knows his business, because he is the artist and founder of art Studio Rondo, and once he poured a drink and stood behind the counter. Long spent many years as a bartender in different parts of the USA and knows first-hand how this business and institutions themselves.
However, Michael likes bars and everything connected with them. In an interview with Atlas Obscura, he shared this thought:
The artist has a special look to your creations. He believes that the miniature bar should be slightly gloomy and depressed — for solidity. Reassuring interiors, in his opinion, are more suitable for teenage eatery, not a place for communication of respectable men.It bars similar to a theatrical stage on which played out the Comedy and tragedy of our daily lives. All the bars, which drove his fate, long remembers to the smallest details and it is sure that it's for life.
Among the inspiring Michael institutions and not presentable at all. The author is not inclined to embellish the reality, so we can see these bars in their natural primal glory.
Dioramas from the master very much and all of them can be seen on his website, completely dedicated to the hobby. And if you are wondering how to look like the models Michael in the interior, here's a picture taken at his home. It seems all very worthy and aesthetically pleasing.
