It's good when an artist finds something new and unusual that makes his paintings interesting and unique. But it's even better when he manages to keep in touch with traditions and connect different eras with the thread of art. Vishal Gurjar, an artist from India.

Vishal Gurjal was born in 1992 in Rajasthan, in the amazing city of Jodhpur. Here he lives and works, although he has repeatedly had the opportunity to move to the capital or even abroad. Vishal says that he is connected with Jodhpur by invisible but very strong threads. This ancient and rich in traditions city is an inexhaustible source of inspiration for the artist.

Gurjal is a craftsman by profession and began his career with paintings and wooden panels for sale. But by painting canvases for souvenir shops, he found time for the development of real art. Vishal says he became an artist 10 years ago. He counts down not from the moment when he picked up the brushes, but from the day when he received his first prize.

In just 10 years of his creative career, Gurjal has won 5 contests in different states of India. In addition, he is considered the founder of a new style that combines ancient traditions and innovative trends. Many of the artist's paintings refer us to Hinduism. They depict the gods and heroes of ancient epics, but in a very modern style.

Despite the fact that Vishal is a recognized painter in his country, he did not leave the profession of his ancestors. He, as before, is engaged in the manufacture of souvenirs and even opened a whole workshop with twenty employees. The master says that since he became a real artist, the quality of his products has increased. And how else, because now he is not just a craftsman. He needs to keep his mark and meet the high rank of a man of art.

Looking at Gurdjieff's works, it's hard to believe that they were created by one person. The master's talent is so multifaceted that he paints with oil and gouache, paints wooden boards with varnish, makes carved panels and coinage.

The master's creations feature gods and simple Hindus, couples in love and priests, sacred animals and temples. There are even warriors and whole large-scale battle scenes with dozens of characters.

The Indian land is truly rich in talents. What is worth only a Needle Man Arun Kumar Bajaj, embroidering realistic paintings on a typewriter.
