From a tea seller to a model: how one photo changed the life of a Pakistani boy
Sometimes one photo is enough to radically change your whole life. A striking example of this is 13-year-old Rita Gaviola from the Philippines, who begged on the street, but one random picture made her a model.
A similar story happened with Arshad Khan, a former tea merchant from Pakistan. After the picture of the blue-eyed guy got into social networks, his life changed forever.
Back in 2016 Arshad Khan worked as a chaiwala - brewed tea on the streets of Pakistan. These were his parents, so the guy decided to continue the family tradition.
However, his "career" did not last very long. The young man was once noticed at work by photographer Haveria Ali. The man was impressed by Khan's expressive blue eyes and decided to take some pictures.

When Haveria posted one of the photos on Twitter, it immediately went viral. Subscribers dreamed of finding out what kind of handsome man was in the picture, and soon modeling agencies became interested in Arshad.
The guy started receiving promotional offers from large companies producing food, clothing and shoes. And although Arshad himself did not consider himself handsome, and his appearance was somehow special, he decided to try himself as a model.
Once the guy even starred in a video of the famous Pakistani singer Muskana Jay, but this experience turned out to be unsuccessful for him. Arshad's conservative parents considered the clip too explicit, so for a while he had to give up filming in advertising.
After a break of a year, Khan returned to work as a model and even shot his own Internet series "Chaiwala and Friends".
In September 2019, on the air of one of the local TV shows, the guy announced that he still wanted to return to the tea business. He plans to open his own cafe.
Well, we can only wish Arshad good luck. Considering how popular he is now in Pakistan, we are sure that he will succeed.
