From a "Beetle" to a roadster: the incredible transformation of the 1961 Volkswagen Beetle
Volkswagen "Beetle" is one of the most iconic cars in history. Of course, the classic model did not shine with power and technical superiority over its competitors, but the "beetle" more than compensated for this with an unprecedented design — it's hard not to smile at the sight of this charming machine.
It is not surprising that the designer Danny Koldal decided to pay homage to the classics by turning the 1961 Beetle Deluxe into a black matte roadster.
Probably, this is what a Volkswagen Beetle would look like if Batman drove it — at least, that's what people think in the comments to Koldal's Instagram posts.
The stylish black matte car with an elongated body really resembles a Batmobile, but there is one small difference — the hood is decorated with the Superman logo, and there is an inscription "Superman"on the back of the car.
In addition to the new paint, the car has also undergone several drastic changes, namely, the removal and modification of some parts. Koldal said goodbye to the original chrome Deluxe bumpers and removed the turn signals installed on the wings.
He also got rid of the old side mirrors and chose a more old-school dashboard design suitable for a racing car.
In addition, Koldal removed the roof and cut the windshield, which gives the car a more menacing look.
He also made the car itself lower. He also picked up shiny wheels and tires with a white stripe to match the design with an old-school aesthetic.
Judging by Koldal's blog on Instagram, the car has already managed to participate in various exhibitions and even got on T-shirts as a print.
Many publications have also written about the stylish "beetle", and the car has gained crowds of fans online. What do you think about the batmobile beetle?
