Family from Belarus reunited with missing daughter 20 years after her disappearance
An amazing event happened recently in Belarus — a daughter who disappeared 20 years ago returned to the family of Lyudmila and Viktor Moiseenko. When her parents saw her for the last time, the girl was only four years old. And now Julia is already an adult woman herself and is raising a child.
Where she has been all these years and how she was found, read in our material.
It is impossible to imagine a more terrible grief than the disappearance of a child! And it is so difficult to imagine the happiness of parents at the moment when their child is found. Such joy was recently experienced by Lyudmila and Viktor Moiseenko from Pukhovichi district. Their daughter Yulia disappeared 20 years ago under mysterious circumstances, but all these years the parents did not lose hope and believed that she was alive.
Trouble overtook the family in 1999, on October 1. Yulia was traveling with her father on the Minsk — Osipovichi train to the market to sell potatoes, when suddenly the man fell asleep. When he was woken up by police officers, the girl was not there, he had blood on his face and obvious signs of a fight.
Victor didn't remember what happened. He admitted that he had drunk a little that day. The police decided that the father himself was to blame for the disappearance of the girl. But numerous interrogations, a search of the house and even a lie detector test did not yield any results.
All possible forces were thrown into the search for Yulia, for several weeks the police and volunteers combed the district and the nearest cities. The girl was put on the wanted list, her photo was hung on all the poles and published in all the newspapers, but again nothing…
Moiseenko's family spent two years in agonizing expectation, and there was still no news… Then Lyudmila and Viktor decided to move to the Cherikov district — away from the station, railway and trains.
As it turned out, all this time Julia lived in Russia. Those few weeks after her disappearance, the girl does not remember at all, and this is not surprising, because she was only 4 years old at that time. A small, frightened child was found by police officers at the railway station in Ryazan at that time. The little girl didn't know how she got there — she only remembered her name and the names of her parents.
The discovery of the child was reported to all Russian agencies, but no one could even imagine that the girl was wanted in Belarus.
When no one responded, Yulia was sent to an orphanage, and soon she had a new family. The girl grew up, got married, gave birth to a daughter, started studying to be a pharmacist. But thoughts of her biological parents never left her.
Julia's friend decided to help her find her relatives. As it turned out, it was quite simple to do this — the guy entered "girl, 4 years old, disappeared" in the search engine and immediately saw several links to Belarusian news. Then it remained only to compare the facts.
When Ilya had some leads, he decided to contact the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Belarus, and soon Yulia received a call from Pukhovichi district police department. A week later, the long-awaited meeting of the missing daughter with her parents took place at the police station.
As expected, there were tears:
It is unclear how the four-year-old girl got from Belarus to Russia. Yulia only remembers some man and woman with whom she hid from the police in abandoned houses and begged for alms. The same man dropped her off at the train station in Ryazan when the girl asked to go to the toilet. And there she was already noticed by law enforcement officers.
