Black and white photographs have been given a new life in color.

People tend to go back to history in an attempt to rethink the events of the past. I would like to “revive” old films and pictures, give them relevance, look at them with a fresh look, in order to see what was previously inaccessible. Therefore, a whole direction in the technique of photography appeared - colorization. This is a colorization of black and white photographs. At first they painted by hand, but the occupation was incredibly time-consuming. Technique did not stand still, technologies became more complicated, and now anyone who has experience with photography and patience can submit their own version of black and white photographs.

Users of the imgur website show their vision of famous people, events and everyday scenes of the past in color, we have collected the best pictures in this article.
