Epic fail: Messi will have to look at a giant portrait of Ronaldo from a hotel room in Kazan
On June 30, a match between the national teams of France and Argentina (1/8 finals of the World Cup) will take place in Kazan as part of the 2018 World Cup. This means that the capital of Tatarstan will host the top match of the playoffs. But today we will talk not so much about football as about football players, namely Lionel Messi, the captain of the national team of Argentina. It is already known that he and other Argentine athletes will be accommodated in the Ramada Hotel, in the courtyard of which a giant graffiti portrait is painted… Ronaldo, with whom Messi has a long-standing confrontation.
It is reported that the windows of most of the Ramada hotel rooms overlook the courtyard, which means that with a very high probability one of the first faces that Messi will see in the morning is Cristiano's face.
It should be noted that only two hotels in Kazan are licensed to accommodate participants of the 2018 World Cup - this is the above—mentioned "Ramada" and the second — "Mirage". Since the French have already played in Kazan and lived in the Mirage Hotel, the same rooms were booked for the next arrival on June 30. It turns out that Messi's team has few options for accommodation in the capital of Tatarstan.
It is worth recalling that graffiti depicting Cristiano Ronaldo — the main antagonist of Messi — was painted in the courtyard of the Ramada Hotel last year on the eve of the Confederations Cup. This was done on purpose when the city authorities learned about the arrival of the Cathedral Portugal football team in Kazan. Ronaldo was then placed in a suite, the windows of which overlook a multi-colored portrait of a football player. It is possible that, ironically, Lionel Messi will now occupy this room.
