Declassified photos of the great Patriotic war
On 22 June 1941, on Sunday, Nazi Germany and its allies attacked the Soviet Union: 190 divisions, over 4 thousands of tanks, 47 thousand guns and mortars, about 4, 5 thousand aircraft, and 200 ships — just five million people.
In April 2015, the Russian defense Ministry has declassified unique photos, some of which date back to the first days of the great Patriotic war. Before these shots were in private funds and was only available to employees of the archive and military experts.
