Curious photo series "Caretakers of Russian museums"

Categories: World |

American photographer Andy Freeberg has shot an interesting series of photos about the caretakers of Russian art museums. During his visit to the famous museums of Russia, he drew attention to the fact that their employees sitting in the halls surprisingly correspond to the paintings they look after, and even complement them in some way.

Andy was so shocked by this observation that he not only took photos, but also talked to each of the women. He learned that often the caretakers can choose which paintings they will have to sit at. The reasons why they chose such a job were called different: from spiritual proximity to art to "it's better than sitting at the entrance."
