Spring cherry blossoms are usually associated with Japanese sakura, but in China it looks no worse and can also become a national symbol. Several thematic festivals are held in the country, and tourists from different regions come to admire the magnificent spectacle.
The 19th Cherry Blossom Festival at the Kunming Zoo in Yunnan Province runs from March 7 to April 7. It presents more than 5,000 flowering trees: cherries and wild apple trees.
The Shanghai Cherry Blossom Festival 2018 began on March 16 and will end on April 15 in Gucun Park. Tourists will be able to see 12 thousand cherry trees of 82 species.
