Charming photo project — kids under water
Seth Casteel, a photographer based in New York and Los Angeles, is known for his funny series of underwater photos of dogs and puppies. Currently, he has focused his lens on a new, no less charming object — children. In our gallery there are the best pictures from his wonderful project "Children under water".
The photographer took about 10,000 pictures of about 750 children for his project "Children under Water".
At first glance, it may seem that the children risked their lives during the shooting, but this is not the case at all.
The children in Kastil's photo and their parents are participating in a program aimed at teaching supervised children to stay in the water and teach them self-help techniques that will save their lives if they really start drowning in the future.
Children are taught to hold their breath, make foot movements and try to float up on their backs as soon as they hit the water.
With his series, the photographer wanted to draw public attention to the fact that sudden drowning is one of the most common causes of death of children aged one to four years in the United States.
