British woman lost seven sizes when she stopped drinking coffee
Lorraine Olaflin, mother of three children from Warrenpoint (Northern Ireland), lost seven sizes from 120.5 to 73 kg. She decided to take such a step after a deep depression, because of which she almost stopped leaving the house. The girl got into a vicious circle when she skipped breakfast, lunch and dinner, and then ate chips and chocolate at night. She suffered from insomnia and, in order to somehow stay on her feet during the day, drank 15 cups of coffee a day and put three spoons of sugar in each.
"I was so dependent on coffee that it was it that kept me going throughout the day, and I literally couldn't live without it."
"Nevertheless, now I don't miss him at all: I eat right and sleep well at night, so my body no longer needs caffeine to function. Now that I've lost weight, a lot has changed. I used to be very shy and never wanted to leave the house. I kept coming up with excuses for the children to explain why we can't go outside to play, and now we are constantly walking in the park," says the Briton.
Lorraine now drinks no more than four cups of coffee a day and has replaced sugar with a sweetener. The housewife had been overweight since adolescence, but could not change anything until the situation got out of control after the birth of children.
When Isabella, who is now seven, and twins Molly and Emily, who are five, were born, Lorraine postponed getting in shape because she was too busy with children to change her habits.
But in April 2015, she joined the Slimming World program and lost seven sizes. After years of excuses about being overweight and playing hide-and-seek with mirrors, it turned out that it was the children who inspired Lorraine and gave her the motivation to get herself in order.
"I've run out of reasons why my children and I can't go outside to play or do something exciting. They helped me a lot in the fight against excess weight and are very proud of me, they always ask how the Slimming World seminars went. They like to keep track of how much I have already lost, they always ask if I have received another certificate. They are very cute," says Lorraine.
"Before I lost weight, I didn't want anyone to see me or even look at me. Now I have an incredible sense of self-confidence. My whole family noticed how I changed," says Lorraine.
