A creepy den-like office that causes bouts of claustrophobia has turned into a neat home office where you can really focus on work. See how much the storage space changes things! It took only eight days to complete the project.
A very old-fashioned kitchen has been successfully painted, and now there is a completely different mood here. The retro style has been preserved, but it has become much more fun. The upgrade cost only $250. Chalk paint was used to paint vintage cabinets, and the floor was covered with a carpet with a bright pattern.
Minimalism and cute cabinets were added to the laundry room. Two meter-high IKEA cabinets hide all the unpresentable bottles and cans of household chemicals. The wall is lined with polished and stained cedar boards. The transformation cost only $ 350.
An empty room in the basement turned into a real forest hunter's hut. Yes, it's the same room. It took only $107 to make this transformation, thanks to old wooden boxes and stones dug by the side of the road. An artificial window (which looks like the real thing, right?) it was done due to the fact that a photo was hung here, retreating a few centimeters from the wall and highlighting it from behind.
The dreary bedroom looked like a photograph from the Crate & Barrel catalog. Just rearranging the bed gives the bedroom a completely new atmosphere. The details added to the wall and the mirror are simple changes that, as it turns out, make a big difference.
A terribly boring bathroom turned into a really cool one. This transformation is like a breath of fresh air. After the window was enlarged, the blinds were removed and a beautiful tile was put on the floor, it became much better.
The gloomy kitchen with sticky drawers has been converted into a much more pleasant and aesthetic place for cooking and eating. Two people spent three couple of weekends to implement this project. The kitchen became more spacious, the cabinets were repainted white, and the old sink was sold at a garage sale for $ 50. All the wood from the dismantled cabinets was reused.
A very simple bathroom turned into a designer creation with two sinks. Instead of a sedentary shower, there is now a bathtub with beautiful tiles. The furniture was replaced with a more compact one, and the large sink was turned into a double one.
The unfinished attic turned into a terribly cozy corner. Wooden boards on the ceiling turned out to be a very successful solution.
The dark and old-fashioned bathroom with felt wallpaper has become bright and modern. It's really the same bathroom. The owners did most of the work themselves, seeking help only from a plumber for laying pipes and another specialist for installation. The design was developed using a computer program using video tutorials on YouTube. The wooden boards on the walls are old pallets that were bought on Craigslist for a dollar apiece.
An ordinary staircase has become much nicer to look at. Scrap metal was used for the railing, and bamboo inserts on the steps made the staircase design more modern. The holes under the base of the stairs are the perfect place to put shoes away.
The home office has turned into an incredibly stylish workspace. The owners repainted the old table, making it brighter and more suitable for the new design of the room, lined the wall with gray panels to add a color accent, and adapted a basket for $ 18 as a lamp.
Oddly located dressing rooms have been turned into a convenient storage and changing space with sliding doors. The closet in the middle was left open and later a hanger was added there. The whole project cost $250.
