In May 2019, the story of the cashier of one of the banks in Salavat, Bashkiria, 36-year-old Louise Khairullina, appeared on most Russian-language news sites. The woman took 24.5 million rubles from the cash register of her financial institution and disappeared with them, taking her family. On July 5, law enforcement officers found a fugitive who was given out by her own children.

Luisa Khairullina disappeared with money, her husband and two children, abandoning her new house, belongings and car. The searches undertaken by the police in hot pursuit did not yield any results — the abductor's family disappeared into the water. Hoping for the help of the Russians, the bank, which had lost a substantial sum, appointed a reward of 1 million rubles for any information that would help find the fugitive.

Before committing the crime, Louise deleted all her social media accounts. A little later, when the woman began to be searched, a page appeared on Instagram on which posts were published on her behalf. Social network users wished the woman good luck and even started a special tag in her support #runluizarun (Run, Louise, run).

Khairullina's father does not believe that his daughter could commit such a crime. In an interview with the press, he invariably states that someone forced his daughter to take money from the bank's cash register. The investigation is considering the version that the man helped the fugitive to hide, since Louise's car with bed linen in the cabin was found in his garage. Louise's father denies the accusations of complicity, claiming that he has not looked into the garage for a long time and did not see any traces of his daughter's stay there.

Her children, who decided to make a phone call, helped to find the abductor. One of the kids dialed his grandfather's number and law enforcement officers managed to track down where the call came from. As a result, the police found a rented apartment in Kazan, where Louise, her husband and children had been hiding for more than a month. It is known that the woman is now under investigation, but no official source reports on the fate of the stolen money.

Not all criminals, having got the bank's money, seek to escape with them. A Russian who robbed a branch of the Norwegian Sparebank 1 on the island of Svalbard, came to the police himself with the money.
