As the famous cartoons have been adapted for different countries
Major studios are serious about localization of your product: every movie, cartoon or TV series adapted, not simply translated, and partly undone. Because many of the nuances without changes to the foreign public will be unclear or even unpleasant.
Watch the compilation of five cartoons, characters and details which look different in different countries.
1. "Zeropolis" / Zootopia (2016)
This cartoon was replaced by one of the leading news. For US and Canada news moose led Peter Losin (a parody of a canadian TV presenter Peter Mansbridge). In China, moose was replaced by a Panda. In Australia and New Zealand a Koala. And in Japan, Tanuki, raccoon dog, symbolize in Japanese culture, happiness and prosperity.
2. "Puzzle" / Inside Out (2015)
In this cartoon about the emotions, the authors have modified the scene in which the main character feeding vegetables. Especially for Japan broccoli was replaced with green pepper. It turns out that this scene didn't make sense for Japanese, because Japanese kids love broccoli.
3. "Monsters University" / Monsters University (2013)
In the American version of the cartoon Randall bakes cupcakes and decorates them with the inscription "Be my pal", that is "Be my friend". Often multipliers such inscriptions do not translate to another language and replace the picture that is understandable to audiences around the world.
4. "Toy story" / Toy Story (1999)
In the second part of the franchise of Pixar's buzz Lightyear (in Russian translation — buzz Lightyear) says to other toys inspiring speech. In the original version this time behind him waving the American flag and in the background plays the national anthem. For the international release changed the flag on the globe, but instead of the us anthem played the melody of One World Anthem.
5. Planes / Planes (2013)
The original character of the cartoon "Planes" — a canadian named Rochelle has as many as 11 locations, depending on the country of hire. In Brazil her name is Carolina, Germany — Heidi, in Russia — Tanya. Each version is painted in the colors of the national flag.
