As melting the Arctic: an impressive comparison shots of the XX century and modern
A hundred years ago, the Arctic was one of the most neglected places of our planet. Now she is studied far and wide, but the expedition arrive no less than before. However, with a different mission. Scientists concerned about the effects of global warming.
Swedish photographer Christian Aslund working in Greenpeace got hold of the Norwegian polar Institute Arctic glaciers frames made in the early XX century. After which pinpointed locations where they were filmed, and captures the current state of Affairs. The comparison has turned out unfavourable. Fresh water reserves on Earth have been steadily declining.
