Another November
British photographer Laura Stevens on her series of female portraits: “It all started after I ended an important relationship. I was getting used to the fact that I was now a single woman, and began to make a series of staged portraits of women, reflecting the experience of losing love.
The women in the photographs are not only friends and acquaintances of Laura, but also those whom she met on the street. All of them are at some stage of parting with their partner or have just gone through a breakup. 38-year-old Laura created a photographic narrative based on the experience of losing love - "from feeling pain, confusion and loneliness to reclaiming yourself as a person." The models are surrounded by the fabrics, color and empty spaces of their Parisian apartments.
