An engineering miracle has been built in China — a futuristic axle-less Ferris wheel
The Chinese are breaking records again. They built the first axle-less Ferris wheel. The world's first Ferris wheel without spokes with a height of 145 meters is already called an engineering miracle.

The futuristic structure was placed on a 540-meter bridge over the Bailang River in the city of Weifang in eastern China.
This is the world's first Ferris wheel without internal supports. And besides, the largest: in diameter, its size is 125 meters.
The wheel is equipped with 36 cabins, each of which can accommodate 10 people. The attraction makes a full turn in 28 minutes — enough time for tourists to have time to take exciting photos of the surrounding landscapes. Due to the fact that the cabins are equipped with Internet access, tourists can immediately upload pictures to social networks.
4.6 thousand tons of steel were used for the construction of the Ferris wheel.
The movement of the cabins is provided by the built-in chassis, which rotates them in a circle.
Steel structures are intertwined around the booths and form, according to the architects, the so-called "dragon ridge", which provides the functionality of a hinged design with no spokes and columns, completely freeing the center of the wheel.
Weifang is one of the most environmentally friendly settlements in China: the level of landscaping exceeds 40%. Far beyond its borders, Weifang is known as the "city of kites": they are not only produced here, but also arrange annual themed festivals. It is assumed that the unique attraction will become the most attractive attraction in Weifang.
