When you see charming photos of Hollywood stars - Marilyn Monroe on silk sheets or Audrey Hepburn smiling slyly - do you think about who was holding the camera at that moment? And how did it happen to catch exactly this exciting frame?
Over the past 50 years, photographer Douglas Kirkland has found more than a dozen excellent angles to capture many stars of the first magnitude in his pictures. He can probably be called one of the most talented photographers who have ever taken pictures of stars. He surprisingly managed to find a common language with the heroes of his photographs, and the ability to choose a good angle and catch the right moment became a calling card for Douglas: in his pictures, celebrities look particularly open, sincere and real.
