The American Space Agency has released a book with photos of the Earth taken from satellites. The 158-page edition of "Earth as Art" will be available both in regular and electronic form, including as an iPad application. The iPad version allows you to enlarge photos, and also provides access to additional information about the objects depicted and the satellites that took the pictures.

NASA's selection includes 75 stunning images of the snow-capped mountain peaks of the Himalayas, the Mississippi River Delta, the Colored Desert in Arizona, the desert dunes of the Sahara in Algeria and the Byrd Glacier in Antarctica.
