Amazing hanging restaurant in China
Fangweng is an extraordinary restaurant located next to the "Three Travelers' Cave" in the Chinese province of Hubei, about 12 km north of Yichang city. The restaurant is located in the Happy Valley of Xiling Gorge, a series of very picturesque cliffs, caves and parks in the area where the Chang Jiang River flows into the Yangtze. The entrance to the establishment is an unremarkable brick building, but at the far end of a narrow concrete bridge, the restaurant practically hangs a few hundred meters above the ground.
From this bridge, visitors to the restaurant can admire the waters of the Yangtze River. And for lovers of adrenaline, there is a platform for bungee jumping.
Upon entering the restaurant and descending the steps, you will find yourself in a natural "cave lobby".
To the right is a 30m long boardwalk built along the edge of the cliff.
It leads to another cave, which has been turned into a dining room. This cave is flooded with a soft yellow light.
Chinese-style furniture blends perfectly with the surrounding landscape. Part of this hall partially protrudes from the cave where the tables are.
This is a restaurant suspended in the air from which you can admire the waters of the river below. The restaurant is named after the great poet from the Song Dynasty.
They say he brewed tea in this cave.
