Abstract nudity by a German artist
Artist and photographer Lovis Ostenrik in a series of minimalistic nude portraits depicts the human body in such a way that it looks more like a sculpture, depriving it of its usual forms. Concentrating all attention on the geometry of broken lines, abstract and elegant landscapes of legs, hands and knees are created in the images of the Vexconcav photo project.
The author of the project states that in this way he is protesting against social taboos about the naked body accepted in modern society.
His pictures are a hymn to minimalism. Muted gray tones, emphasis on unnatural poses, emotionality and tension are characteristic features of the photographer's works that make his style recognizable and memorable.
The human body is like a sculpture — this is the belief that the Berlin artist is guided by when creating his works.
It is important to convey the emotional peak, the tension that binds the joints.
