Space Sweepers is a space western film set in the year 2092, and follows the crew of The Victory, a space junk collector ship. Song Joong Ki’s breakthrough role came in 2010 with Sungkyunkwan Scandal (alongside being the OG member of Running Man, a beloved South Korean variety show), in which he plays a mischievous, womanizer upperclassman. The coming-of-age rom-com sageuk (historical drama) follows a young woman, who disguises herself as her brother and helps young noblemen pass their exams at Sungkyunkwan University, the Joseon Era’s highest educational institution where women are barred. Arthdal Chronicles is known as the first Korean ancient fantasy drama and is set in the Bronze Age in Arth, a mythical land. Weak Indigenous tribes are terrorized by the strong, powerful ones, and it’s up to a brave commoner (played by Song Joong Ki) to fight for his people and the woman that he loves, who is also a fierce protector of her people.
