1. Skincare before makeup
"When people tell me they want 'celebrity makeup', I tell them to start with skincare," Espinal says. - Without skincare, I can't do makeup. If you really take the time to moisturize, whatever you put on top will look great. However, if you don't, you'll see the makeup accentuate all the imperfections and texture of the skin."
2. Moisturizing is key. A good cleanser, toner, and moisturizer, and then an eye cream and you can start applying makeup!

Espinal believes that no-makeup makeup is actually one of the most difficult to do. But there are three products he uses for a quick natural look. Concealer is the best assistant to combat traces of fatigue. Cream blush on the apples of the cheeks. And lots and lots of mascara for a wakeful look. Espinal also has a great tip for finding your perfect concealer shade: instead of testing on the back of your hand, test the concealer on the inside of your forearm just below your wrist, which matches your complexion much better.
The fastest way to get glowing skin
Espinal says there's a fine line between looking oily and wet, and it's all about the T-zone—the nose, forehead, and chin. "I make sure the T-zone is nice and matte," says Espinal, who always uses gloss-absorbing matte powder in the T-zone.
Espinal also notes that on Rihanna, he uses a regular lip gloss (namely Gloss Bomb Universal Lip Luminizer) as a highlighter on the cheekbones.
4. Monochrome makeup suits everyone
Rihanna's signature everyday look is monochrome makeup: cheeks and eyes of the same color. Rihanna applies a light bronzer on her cheeks, then it on her eyelids instead of shadows. This is really the easiest look and all you have to do next is apply mascara and a light lip gloss.
Mineral Powder Foundation
With a mineral powder foundation, the skin feels much more comfortable under the mask. Espinal takes a large brush and applies a powder foundation all over the face.
Using blush to highlight cheekbones
"Place two fingers right on the sides of your nose and that way you'll know where to start applying the blush," he says.
5. Work the apples of your cheeks and move up to your temples. You should not apply blush too low, as this will visually shift your cheeks down.
Simply draw in your cheekbones and apply them to the hollows of your cheeks, working your way up to your temples.
