These are the works of American freelance photographer Robert Yarnall Ritchie from the archives of the Southern Methodist University of Dallas, Texas. Richie was engaged in advertising and industrial photography, working on orders from major publishers and various American companies.
His archive contains a large number of works devoted to the US oil industry and aviation. The last topic interested Richie the most, since he had a pilot's license and loved to fly very much. Some of the photos were taken on color film by Kodachrome. Unfortunately, there are not very many of them, but they are, in my opinion, the most interesting," says blogger samsebeskazal.
